Visiting the Sonoran Desert of Arizona as a kid from Washington State had an early impact on my artistic style. In addition to the stunning natural beauty, the Southwest has an amazing art history and style of it's own. Banded Gila Monsters are one of only two venemous lizards in North America, and to me the single most beautiful of any type of lizard.
